My favourite live country bar by far is the Outlaw Saloon (Previously the C-Note Lounge) on West Roger Rd - Live music at the weekend ---- The premier country dance venue is the Maverick Club - And there's also a country club in the Bedroxx Bowling complex called The Quarry

For a quiet drink and/or good grub - Or to join in on Karaoke nights - the bars I always visit when I'm in town are Old Father Inn on Ina/Oldfather (A great local sportsbar - With off-track betting & live bands most Fridays) - Navada Smith's on Miracle Mile - Putney's sports bar on North Oracle - The Boondockers on 1st Avenue --- And over on the East side the Home Plate on E22nd Street another great sports bar (Try your hand in the baseball practice nets with auto pitchers at this bar - Awesome !!)

For more up market/trendy bars check out the university area downtown - My favourite The Dubliner - Try the French Quarter on East Grant Rd, Dirt Bags on East Speedway,  Gentle Ben's Brewing Company on East University Blvd & Risky Business on North Oracle - There's some great bars too in the heart of downtown Tucson like The Hut & the trendy Playground which has live bands on the patio roof at weekends, the historic Congress Hotel bars - And some great Irish bars on 4th Avenue like O'Malley's, Maloney's & The Shanty all within walking distance of each other

For a serious gamble or a tame flutter Tucson has two class Vegas style Casino's on offer 24-7 ---- The Desert Diamond (South Nogales Highway) & the Casino Of The Sun (West on Valencia)
